Association Constitution & Proceedings

MCMSA Constitution Code
Adopted February 2014 — Amended and ratified in subsequent general body convocations.
1.Article I: Name & Office
The name of the association shall be 'Marathwada Commerce and Management Science Association' (MCMSA). The central office of the association shall be situated in the Department of Commerce and Management Science, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU), Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
2.Article II: Core Objectives
- To promote academic welfare, research activities, and networking among college and university teachers in the Marathwada region.
- To organize state, national, and international conferences, workshops, and guest lectures to address modern management and commerce transitions.
- To recognize and reward academic excellence through dedicated teacher and researcher awards annually.
- To coordinate educational research publications and promote peer-reviewed journals in the management sector.
3.Article III: Membership & Subscriptions
Membership is open to all university/college teachers, research scholars, and academic practitioners working in the fields of commerce, management, and related sciences. There are three categories of memberships: (a) Life Member, (b) Patron Member, (c) Student Delegate. Registration fees and dues are determined periodically by the Executive Body.
4.Article IV: Executive Council Structure
The management and administration of the association shall be vested in the Executive Body. This body consists of: President, General Secretary, Vice-Presidents, Joint Secretaries, Treasurer, Journal Editor, and Executive Committee Members. The tenure of the elected office bearers is five years.
5.Article V: Rules & Proceedings
- The annual general meeting (AGM) of the association shall be held concurrently with the annual conference.
- Decisions within the Executive Council shall be resolved by a majority vote of members present and voting.
- The financial audit and treasury records shall be scrutinized annually by certified auditors appointed by the President.
